Frequently Asked Questions

Practical answers about the H.O.M.E. model, operating responsibilities, technology, economics, and guardrails.

What exactly is H.O.M.E.?

H.O.M.E. is a done-for-you Home Ownership Management Ecosystem designed for real estate brokerages. It combines homeowner technology, ongoing engagement, a brokerage-centered Preferred Provider network, agent enablement, marketing support, and program management to help brokerages remain connected to homeowners beyond closing.

What does H.O.M.E. stand for?

H.O.M.E. stands for Home Ownership Made Easy. That is the homeowner promise. The business itself is designed as a Home Ownership Management Ecosystem that gives real estate brokerages the infrastructure needed to deliver on that promise.

Is H.O.M.E. a software platform?

No. Technology is an important part of H.O.M.E., but H.O.M.E. is not simply an app or software subscription. The Hub is one component of a broader system that includes homeowner engagement, agent enablement, Preferred Provider relationships, communications, implementation, and ongoing program management.

What does “done-for-you” mean?

H.O.M.E. handles all of the operational work required to build and maintain the program.

That includes program setup, technology coordination, Preferred Provider development, provider onboarding, membership administration, agent training support, homeowner activation, communications, marketing support, engagement, reporting, and ongoing administration.

The brokerage remains involved in the relationships and supports leadership and agent participation.

H.O.M.E. manages the infrastructure behind the program.

Who owns the homeowner relationship?

The brokerage. H.O.M.E. is designed to strengthen the relationship between the brokerage, its agents, and its homeowners. It does not replace that relationship.

Does the brokerage need to recruit Preferred Providers?

H.O.M.E. manages the Preferred Provider acquisition and development process as part of the program. Brokerage and agent introductions can accelerate the process when trusted relationships already exist, but H.O.M.E. provides the recruiting infrastructure.

How does the Preferred Provider network work?

H.O.M.E. develops and manages a brokerage-specific network of businesses across important homeownership categories.

Preferred Providers participate in the ecosystem to build ongoing visibility, relationships, and engagement opportunities with the brokerage and its homeowner community.

H.O.M.E. manages provider recruitment, qualification, onboarding, membership administration, visibility opportunities, and ongoing program coordination.

The result is a structured local business ecosystem built around supporting homeowners and strengthening the brokerage relationship.

What is a “Preferral”?

A traditional referral is often a single introduction. A Preferral represents an ongoing preferred relationship. The goal is to give trusted businesses recurring visibility and opportunities to build relationships with the brokerage and its homeowner community over time.

How does H.O.M.E. help our agents?

H.O.M.E. gives agents a meaningful post-closing value proposition. Instead of telling clients, “Call me if you ever need anything,” agents can provide an actual homeowner-support system backed by their brokerage. That creates additional reasons for clients to stay connected.

Is this primarily a revenue program?

No. The primary strategic purpose of H.O.M.E. is to help the brokerage build and maintain an ongoing homeowner relationship.

Preferred Provider participation creates an economic model that supports the cost of operating the program and creates an additional brokerage revenue stream.

The economics are an important benefit of the model, but the homeowner-support strategy comes first.

What business outcomes is H.O.M.E. designed to create?

H.O.M.E. is designed to help brokerages:

  • remain connected to homeowners after closing
  • strengthen agent value and differentiation
  • increase ongoing homeowner engagement
  • build structured relationships with local businesses
  • create additional brokerage revenue through the Preferred Provider program
  • remain more relevant for future transactions and referrals

H.O.M.E. is built around creating long-term relationship value rather than relying only on the next transaction.

What technology powers the homeowner experience?

H.O.M.E. coordinates an approved homeowner technology platform as part of the H.O.M.E. Hub. Technology details and implementation requirements are reviewed with participating brokerages during the discovery and implementation process.

Can the program be branded to our brokerage?

Yes. The H.O.M.E. model is designed to reinforce the participating brokerage’s brand and homeowner relationship. Specific co-branding is established during implementation.

How much work is required from our brokerage?

H.O.M.E. is designed to minimize the operational burden on brokerage leadership. The brokerage needs to support implementation, leadership alignment, agent participation, and appropriate relationship opportunities. H.O.M.E. manages the majority of ongoing program infrastructure.

What does H.O.M.E. cost?

Program economics are structured according to the brokerage, market, program scope, technology requirements, and operating model.

Specific costs and financial economics are reviewed privately during the discovery process.

How does H.O.M.E. make money?

The H.O.M.E. business model includes participation in the economics created by the program, including the Preferred Provider membership structure. The specific financial model is established with participating brokerages and is not published publicly.

Are Preferred Providers guaranteed or endorsed?

No provider’s work is guaranteed by H.O.M.E. or the brokerage. Providers must meet applicable participation requirements, but homeowners remain free to choose any service provider they wish.

What happens if our brokerage stops participating?

Program offboarding, active provider obligations, branding, technology arrangements, and related responsibilities are governed by the applicable agreements. These details are reviewed before the brokerage launches.

How do we get started?

The first step is a conversation. H.O.M.E. will learn about your brokerage, market, current homeowner strategy, agent base, and objectives and determine whether the model is a good fit.
